Day 1 - 6/1/2020

Travel Day

Travel from West Monroe, LA to Sevierville, TN, stopping for lunch before arriving at the hotel for the night. Once you’ve checked into your hotel room, you are free to explore what the city has to offer in your own time.

Day 2 - 6/2/2020

Choir Teach Meet & Greet

This evening you and choir are off to the First Baptist Church in Sevierville, TN to meet your choir teachers Mike Speck and Cliff Duren. They will be with you the next two days and offer instruction and advice on how to improve your groups performance.

Mike Speck is a Gospel musician and ordained minister from Lebanon, Tennessee. Together with his wife, Faye, and daughter Melody Van Nus, he tours with a Gospel music trio called the Mike Speck trio. He and his wife also arrange music for church choirs, publishing their work through Lillenas Music. Nine of their choral collections have been nominated for Dove Awards. and his most recent collaboration with recording artist/pianist Stan Whitmire, Everlasting Praise 4, was nominated for and won the 2014 Dove Award for Best Choral Collection.

Cliff Duren serves as the Senior Minister of Music and Worship at First Baptist Church Woodstock. He also arranges, orchestrates, and produces music for various church music publishers and Christian artists and is a 2-time Dove Award winner.

Concert by the Isaacs

This evening features a special concert by The Isaacs, a multi-award winning family group out of Hendersonville, TN. The vocalists are mother Lily Isaacs and siblings Ben Isaacs, Sonya Isaacs, and Rebecca Isaacs Bowman. Playing their own acoustic instruments and joined by other band members. They have a unique style that blends tight family harmony with contemporary acoustic instrumentation that appeals to a variety of audiences. Their musical style has been influenced by bluegrass, rhythm and blues, folk, and country, contemporary acoustic and southern gospel.

Day 3 - 6/03/2020

Start your day with a delicious Deluxe Mountain Breakfast served in Grandma's Kitchen (on site).

Morning Choir Session

The morning includes three sessions conducted by your gospel teachers and musical guests. Your choir group will receive instruction and coaching that will enable you to become a better singer and member of your choir.

Day at Dollywood

The Dollywood Theme Park is nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. While in the park enjoy live stage shows, the Dolly museum, go on a real train ride, view and learn about the American Eagle habitat, and for the very brave ride the Wild Eagle-America's First Wing Coaster! Plus watch master craftsmen and artisans at work as they proudly continue the centuries-old tradition of hand-making crafts with daily demonstrations.

Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show

Ahoy Matey! This evening you head to Dolly Parton's Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show. Join Captain Blackbeard, the most famous pirate to ever sail the seven seas, and his quartermaster Calico Jack as they lead the Crimson and Sapphire crews in an epic battle for lost treasure on land, on deck, in water and high above full-sized pirate ships in a 15 foot deep indoor hideaway lagoon! Ye will thrill at the swashbuckling excitement of spectacular acrobatic competitions, aerial feats, sea lions, tropical birds, beautiful mermaids and much more! Which camp takes the treasure may be up to you as ye cheer me buccaneers to victory, all while ye enjoy a fabulous four-course feast!

Day 4 - 6/4/2020

Start your day with a delicious Deluxe Mountain Breakfast served in Grandma's Kitchen (on site).

Morning of Rehearsals

The day begins with one more session with your instructors followed by rehearsal in preparation for Choir Performances this evening.

Free Time

Today enjoy free time of shopping, relaxing, lunch, and dinner on your own

Choir Performances

You will end the evening performing in a concert of combined choirs, with The Isaacs, Cana's Voice, David Phelps and special guests. Cana's Voice is comprised of Ernie Haas & Signature Sound's Doug Anderson, Avalon's Jody McBrayer, and The Greenes' Taranda Greene. For more than 15 years, David Phelps served as a member of the popular and prestigious Gaither Vocal Band, and during that time received numerous Dove Awards, Grammy Awards, and multiple platinum-selling recording projects. As a solo artist, he received 2009 Dove Award nominations for Male Vocalist of the year and Long Form Video for the Christmas DVD, 0 Holy Night to add to his many awards and honors.

Also tonight this special evening concert will be broadcast and televised on the TBN network

Hotel Breakfast & Departure

Begin your day with a Deluxe Mountain Breakfast in Grandma's Kitchen (on site). After Breakfast check out of your hotel and depart for

home with many warm and fond memories of your Smoky Mountain Choral Fest.
